As a life-long resident of Washington, I know the dreary winters are worth the wait when summer finally rolls around, and I know I could never find a more pleasant group of people, despite the rumors of the "Seattle Freeze." I love the Seattle community, which is ever-changing and growing in unexpected ways - some for the better and some for the worse. I love my job as an attorney, though when I'm not working, I cook, catch any sunshine we might be fortunate enough to see, and watch any movie available in 3D. I am passionate about helping people in our community, especially low-income and impoverished families. As someone who has had the bad fortune of experiencing many hungry nights as a child, I feel a particular connection to people who live without. Still I had a community that gave me the opportunity to attend college, and then law school, and finally pursue a pretty cool career. I am lucky now to help others as I was once helped, and I am in continual awe of those who dedicate their lives to build and maintain the good in our community.
