About Our Speaker:
Diversity & Inclusion Strategist; Public speaker and trainer; Exclusion and Inequality SME, entrepreneur and peace builder.
Ashlea has 25+ years of experience in gender and LGBTQIA advocacy, 10+ years of racial justice and human rights advocacy, 7+ years partnering with the United Nations and United Nations Foundation partners and programs to meet the global goals, and 5 years of disability advocacy.
She is a Co-Lead of Lean In Seattle where she implemented a diversity and social inclusion framework based on the United Nations SDGs and the focus of Leaving No One Behind. Her framework resulted in a 1900% increase in membership. The highly diverse organization is the largest chapter and most strategically diverse and inclusive chapter in the world.
Ashlea founded a consulting practice in 2016 and provides subject matter expertise and capacity building workshops to teams across the country. In 2018 she founded a global peacebuilding program that includes leaders from 140+ countries, and she devotes all of her free time to promoting positive peace and the acceptance of the rights of others.
